| Ghouls What is a Ghoul? To play a ghoul, you must remember that these beings are entirely dependent on their vampire masters. The blood, to them, is like a drug, and one that they will do anything, go to any lengths, to get. The vampire - ghoul relationship is the ultimate sadistic-masochistic relationship, after all, all the vampire has to do is threaten to deny the ghoul their blood. Vampire blood not only grants enhanced strength and extended life (the ghoul doesn't age so long as they drink the blood a few times a week, at least), but also, after long lengths of time, pass along some of the vampires own derangements and gifts, in watered down fashion. Should the vampire stop feeding the ghoul blood, these, and other gifts will fade, and the ghoul will instantly age up to what it's natural age should be... in the case f those who have been ghouled for 75 years+, this usually means death. Ghouls are not always human; many a vampire has a pet that they grew attached to, either in life or undeath, and strove it to keep it, or enhance it for the vampire's own purposes. Although these creatures can't speak, the rest is still the truth; they cease to age, they gain in strength, possibly intelligence, and size, and may even develop other gifts from their vampire masters. |
