Staring, looking on in horror at the truck barelling toward us, I swallow hard to hide my slight prang of fear. "I’m not some trash you can turn your nose up at. If you hadn’t noticed we’re still in one piece".
No one will want to see a broken singer...what is this idiot... Releasing a huge sigh of relief as we barely escape up on the ramp, I try to tune the crazy lady back in.
"Why is it so difficult for some of you ignorant people to appreciate talent when you see it?"
Looking at the mirror, sighing dramatically, I show a look of pure distaste in the direction of the lady. Pondering her words, I smirk a little, a bit surprised she would ask a question like that...really...to a woman of my qualities.
"First, as you can probably tell, I am not a 'people'. I am a 'person.' I can explain the difference to you, if you want child. Second, despite not crashing yet, stealing a car is hardly a talent. A real talent is something I possess and others crave." My smile fading as I reach infront of me to the controls in the back of the seat, I turn the radio on again. Pushing a few other buttons, I cause the CDs to cling and change until a beautiful piano starts to play softly. After a few measures, a haunting voice starts to sing...
'Hey love, is that the name you're meant to have for me to call? Look love, they've given up believing; they've turned aside our stories of the gentle fall. But don't believe them; don't drink their poison too. These are the scars that words have carved on me...' The tempo on the cd changes a bit to a faster beat; a heavier sound. My eyes close as the piano syncs up in my head as the melody flows through me. Without thinking, my voice merges into the sound coming out of the car's speaks...as we are one of the same.
"Hey love, that's the name we've long held back from the core of truth. So don't turn away now; I am turning in revolution. These are the scares that silence carved on me." My fingers dance across the seat, as if playing on the ivory keys again as I quickly switch off the cd and continue on, the voice the same.
"This is the same place...no, not the same place. This is the same place, love. No, not the same place we've been before." My voice growing stronger, as with the tempo in my head, I start to sew the emotional words from my blood into the melody.
"Hey love, I am a constant satellite of your blazing sun. My love...I obey your law of gravity. This is the fate you've carved on me; your law of gravity. This is the gave you've carved on me...on me." My words fading with the last words slipping past my lips, my fingers still dance across the seat, continuing the melody that is heard only in my head.
Taking a deep breath, I reopen my eye and grip the seat again, this time, not so tightly. With luck, my song's melody has effected the woman, calming her and making her listen to me a bit more, despite my hatred for the child growing more and more.
"That...is what 'people' call talent."
(*using Toreador's Bane's; lvl 3 ability XD It stopped when she stopped singing...so if it succeeds - SQUEE. If not, oh well xD)
